As our hourly charges are the same for workshop repairs or callouts. We are often asked the question a to whether it is more cot effective to call one of our engineers to your home or whether to book your PC or Laptop in for a repair in our workshop. The answer is as follows:
Advantages of Workshop Repairs
- Our engineers can work on several PC/Laptops at the same time, saving you hourly costs.
- There are no travelling times/distances for customers to pay for.
- Our engineering workshops are fully equipped, with most spare parts ex stock.
- 2-3 engineers are available to deal with your problem, so there is a larger skill base.
Advantages of Callouts
- Saves your time and effort for customers having to call into our workshops.
- Some problems can only be sorted out on site, eg broadband. wireless and interworking problems.
WORKSHOP REPAIR PRICES
Our Workshop Repair prices are as follows:
Standard Service
Computers are repaired in chronological order, first in first out, our engineer will estimate the time taken for any particular repair when you call in to our workshop.
- Hourly Fee £35.00
- Diagnosis Fee Desktop £19.99 (Waived if the repair is carried out by PLC)
- Diagnosis Fee Laptop £29.99 (Waived if the repair is carried out by PLC)
Express Service
Work is immediately started and jumps to the front of the queue, a 24 hour turn round is provided subject to the supply of any hardware or software.
- Hourly Fee £50.00
- Diagnosis Fee Desktop £29.99 (Waived if the repair is carried out by PLC)
- Diagnosis Fee Laptop £39.99 (Waived if the repair is carried out by PLC)

Home Callouts are booked according to availability. Prices are as follows:
- Hourly Fee £35.00 Within 5 miles from a PLC Store
- Hourly Fee £45.00 More than 5 miles from PLC Store
