'Total Home and Business Solutions'

Penny Lane Computers was formed in 1996 and became incorporated in June 1997. Our Company has continuously grown each year since that date. In 1997 we opened a small retail outlet at 241 Dales Road, Ipswich and within 18 months we moved to a much larger store, next door in 243 Dales Road, Ipswich.

Our new premises provided twice the space we previously occupied, but within 18 months we had outgrown these premises! In December 2000 we moved our business arm into 245 Dales Road (the floor above our showroom) providing a base for all of our activities with business activities for East Anglia.

In October 2006 we started a Penny Lane Computers based in 355 Aylsham Road, Norwich, by taking over an existing long established computer company from that location.

IPSWICH

From our base in Dales Road we have a large showroom selling all types of computers, laptops and accessories. The showroom also incorporates a fully equipped workshop, allowing customers to come in and discuss their IT issues with a qualified engineer and to 'test while you wait'.

Business customers can also come in to discuss their IT issues with our engineers based on the floor above. We also have a fully equipped training room allowing a range of IT courses on a pupil-teacher ratio of 1-4, allowing specialised courses for customers who need personal attention.

BUSINESS DIVISION

We stated a Business Division from our shop in Dales Road. This part of the business became very popular and towards the end on 2009 had outgrown our shop in Dales Road. We located a unit in the Masterlord Village, Ipswich (close to Ransomes Europark) and the extra space allowed us to provide our own ‘on-line back up services, which has proved to be very popular. We look after more than 250 small to medium sized business with 2-100 employees in each business. The new location also allowed us to branch out into telecoms services and we now maintain all types of PBX, telecom services and broadband. We also provide Web Design and Web Hosting services and maintain all types of Apple Mac and Apple networks

NORWICH

We are located on the very busy Aylsham Road, opposite the Boundary Pub, next to Kerrisons Toy Shop. The premises consists of a showroom with all types of computers and laptops and accessories. We alo have a fully equipped workshop where business or home users can come in to discuss and demonstrate their IT issues with an engineer. We also have a small office which is the base for our business arm which serves business users throughout Norfolk.

FELIXSTOWE

We are located next to the Morrisons Superstore in Grange Farm Avenue, Felixstowe. This means that people can come in and browse whilst their partners or parents do the shopping. Felixstowe was the first shop that we added a Game Exchange centre to, which has proved to be very popular

LOWESTOFT

We added a Lowestoft store which was previously called F1 Return. We revamped the shop and added the extra lines that the other stores have. The shop is located just off the High Street.

CANVEY ISLAND

We repeated the arrangement that we had in Felixstowe, by adding a PLC shop next to the huge Morrisons Superstore in Northwick Road, Canvey Island. Again customers find it convenient to shop at the store when doing their week’s shopping.

COLCHESTER

We took over the business called Colchester Computer Repair Centre in 2011. We have built on the existing business there and added in our new products and services.
